With the kōkua of PBR HAWAII & ASSOCIATES, INC., we are embarking on an exciting project to create a pollinator garden to provide critical habitat and serve as a learning lab for keiki. Pollinators play an important role in maintaining the islands' ecological balance and pollination of many food crops. However, pollinators face significant challenges due to habitat loss, invasive species and climate change. HNC’s pollinator garden will provide much-needed habitat and the opportunity for the thousands of keiki to observe, investigate and learn about pollinators.
The Garden's Purpose
- provide critical habitat for important pollinators including endangered species
- showcase native flora that supports pollinators
- serve as an educational resource for our program, the broader community and raise awareness about the importance of pollinators
Our goal this holiday season is to raise $20,000 to support construction and educational programs. All donations of $500 or more will secure your ‘ohana a spot at our 2025 Night in Nature featuring star gazing, night hiking and fireside experience. In addition to the Night in Nature invite, a donation of $1,000 or more secures your name on our pollinator garden educational signs. Your support will have an impact on the conservation of important pollinators, their habitat and impactful opportunities to connect children and families to nature.
